Job Opportunity Ivey Memorial UMC has an opening for a part-time Administrative Assistant. Duties include: providing administrative support for pastor, staff, and volunteers; responding to calls and emails; welcoming guests; preparing weekly bulletins and online newsletters, and bi-monthly newsletters; maintaining records, the online church calendar, building use schedule, and the church website; and maintaining office equipment and supplies.  Qualifications include: pleasant personality and congenial public image; ability to work well with other staff members and congregants; ability to maintain strict confidences; competency with basic secretarial skills such as grammar, spelling and composition, as well as attention to detail; familiarity with operation of modern office equipment including computer, copiers, and phone systems; competent skills with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher), digital communication tools (email, websites, social media), and data entry (Church Windows experience a plus).  The position is 25 hours per week.  Check the church website for a more detailed job description: www.iveymemorial.org.  To apply send an email expressing interest in the position along with a resume and names of at least two references to pastor@iveymemorial.org.
