WORSHIP AT IVEY MEMORIAL UMC
CASUAL Worship Service
Our more casual worship service begins at 8:30 am. This service is a great way to experience the presence of Jesus Christ in a blended style that combines contemporary and traditional songs. Music is led by our Praise Team and includes guitar, keyboard, and other instruments. Communion is served weekly. Come as you are to this casual service of worship. All are welcome!
Traditional Worship Service
Our 11:00 am service follows traditional worship liturgy as we offer praise and thanksgiving to the Father, Son & Holy Spirit. We praise God with hymns such as those composed by Charles Wesley, accompanied by organ and piano. Each week members of the congregation are invited to join the “Sunday Singers” by coming to the choir loft and making a joyful noise to the Lord! Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of every month. Come and join us for this worship service. All are welcome!
This service is provided for parents of young children (infants to age 6). The children are cared for in a safe environment. We have 2 cribs available for infants and also have 2 walkers (for
those little ones who can't quite walk). Restrooms are in close proximity. Snacks are also provided.
The nursery is located in the large fellowship hall.
We Love Children in Worship!
Each Sunday from 8:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. there is a nursery provided for parents who wish to attend church and/or Sunday school. (8:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. covers the contemporary worship service through Sunday school time and 10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. covers Sunday school time through the traditional worship service.) Our goal is to always have a volunteer during each time slot.
Occasionally, we gather at 10:30 am for one combined worship service. This includes all 5th Sundays of any month with five Sundays, as well as special Sundays such as Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Homecoming.
The 10:30 am combined services currently scheduled for the remainder of the 2019 year are: Sept. 29 (5th Sunday), Oct. 20 (Homecoming), Nov. 24 (Thanksgiving), Dec. 29 (5th Sunday). Please mark your calendars and spread the word. See you in Worship!
